These are way better than aluminum. My only critic is that the filter should be painted and glazed. The peel and stick tape fails pretty quickly.

Smaller than I thought
This quartz bat is very nice but smaller than I expected. I really like being able to see the fire through the bat while I'm blazing. This is a nice upgrade from aluminum.
